Milica Dukić (Kraljevo, Serbia, 1989) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting, and a master’s in drawing. As an active participant in the local art scene, Milica took part in running the gallery of the MMC Led Art/Šok zadruga collective for several years. As a member of The Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina, holding the status of an independent visual artist, she joined the Presidency of the association in 2022.
Primarily using embroidery in combination with photography and textiles, Milica has presented her works at 15 solo exhibitions and in over 100 group projects. She spent a year (2017/18) as an artist-in-residence at Ecole d’Humanité in Switzerland, where she initiated the Heads or Tails series. During and after her studies, Milica volunteered at the “Milan Petrović” School for Special Education, focusing on inclusive art, which resulted in her first collaborations. In November 2021, she relocated to Jerusalem for a long-term voluntary programme, working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. She was a guest artist at Art Cube Artists’ Studios (January–July 2023). Upon returning to Serbia, Milica was selected as a finalist for the “Dimitrije Bašičević Mangelos” Award 2024.
