Randolpho Lamonier

Randolpho Lamonier (Contagem, Brazil, 1988) is a visual artist who graduated from the UFMG School of Fine Arts. His work spans various media, prominently featuring textile art, video, and installation. In his artistic exploration, the dialogue between word and image is central, often addressing micro and macro politics, chronicles, diaries, and the intersections between memory and fiction.
Lamonier’s work has been exhibited at Guild Hall, East Hampton, New York (2024); Galería RGR, Mexico City (2024); Another Space, New York (2023); Denver Art Museum (2022); MASP, São Paulo (2022); Belmacz Gallery, London (2021); John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York (2020); MAR, Rio de Janeiro (2018); 15th Lyon Biennale – Jeune Création Internationale (2019); Fundación Pablo Atchugarry, Miami (2019); Galpão Videobrasil, São Paulo (2018) and the Videoformes International Video Art & Digital Culture Festival, Clermont-Ferrand (2016). He has also held a solo exhibition titled My Kind of Dirty at Fort Gansevoort Gallery, New York (2021). His work is part of the permanent collections of MASP; Denver Art Museum; Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo and Prêmio Diário Contemporâneo de Fotografia. In 2020, Randolpho received the PIPA Prize in Brazil, where he currently lives.
