A FAIRY TALE ABOUT MIHAILO
My subject is LOVE. My love story, only partially real; mysterious, irrational, yet a possible and impossible fairy tale, with a moral at the end. This subject is evoked through five chapters, five books that tell the tale of the encounter, the kiss, the love, the separation, and the end.
- BOOK-BED (love)
The cover of this book is a yellow blanket with which I used to cover myself. Its pages are five blankets I wove and embellished. The sixth page is made from the bed sheets upon which MIhailo’s love letter was printed. Counting from one to six was a way to declare love for me and Mihailo.
- MINI BOOKS (Dandelion or Without end)
The pages of the mini books are made from seeds of dandelions that are easy to destroy or tear down. The impossibility of love and the end of Mihailo’s life turned my love story into something that is not only not only beautiful but also tragic – with an unhappy ending.
The common dandelion (taraxacum officinale) is a weed. I do not know if it is possible to weed it out.
