Darinka Pop Mitić (1975) studied at the Faculty of Political Sciences and at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Since 2004 her work has been exhibited at numerous solo and group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad. Her works deal with the reconstruction of collective memories and their impact on politics, and vice versa. She tries to keep pace and find out the reasons why certain acts, attitudes or historical events were found or not in our field of vision as well as to examine the role of our complicity and denial in this process. She lives and works in Belgrade.
